v5.0475: INCOMING PATCHNOTES
ASSIGNEES:
The following issues have been noted, addressed, and corrected as efficiently as possible. As always, the Ministry commends its active Assignees for their work and will continue to maintain Justice Equilibrium throughout the Commonwealth.
Since bringing the E.C.C. directive to WebGL, a number of issues have compromised the experience. These issues have unfortunately resulted in an increase in inefficient conduct on behalf of these assignees, many of which are no longer in service due to errors occurring within operating areas. Given the turbulent conditions of the District 112 Protection Initiative, smooth operation is a paramount priority and we expect efficiency regardless of conditions.
The Ministry has invested significant time and resources into purifying the Assignment experience as quickly as possible, and as a result new Assignees will notice the folowing changes in the field:
- Objective meter is far more reliable
- Videos render across all versions of the game regardless of building platform, including WebGL
- Post-processing stack for WebGL is more performance-lite
- Procedural generation elements are more aggressive and should prevent building pop-in
- VIP Hit List renders correctly
- Enemy dialogue overlap significantly reduced
- Dialogue table chances rebalanced
- Enemies ignore player after death
- Idle patrol dialogue frequency increased
- Combat firing tweaked
The Ministry has also made the entire E.C.C. audio playlist public for motivational purposes. The E.C.C. composer has asked for a self-promoting SoundCloud link in this announcement; we will not indulge his selfish request. If desired, you may find the playlist on the main page. The pending sentence on said composer is still in discussion and no comment can be made at this time.
NOTICE:
In practice, the creation and indication of these refinements does not in any way implicate the Ministry of Justice in any future issues that may or may not occur related to these fixes, including but not limited to:
- WebGL UI elements on the intro not lighting properly
- Final VIP target appearing in the wrong location
- Distorted videos in WebGL
- Slowdown on video rendering
- Ability uses will no longer replace the player’s main blaster weapon permanently
- Mass crowding around FOB
- Idle banter lines for patrols rarely playing
- Military base door not fully blocking entrance
- Buildings not fading correctly
Note that these issues will not be taken as an excuse for poor and inefficient field work.
